- I was/am a nontraditional college student. I finished my BS in 2004, and MA in 2007. I began my teaching career in 2007 as a science teacher at a residential treatment facility. I can not see myself teaching in a regular public school. I love my job. I have 4 teenagers of my own, 2 have graduated and 2 will graduate within the next 3 years. I am beginning work on my Ed. D emphasis in science education.
